Jean G. Legault was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1990 and he provides bilingual representation in criminal, civil and administrative law litigation. Jean has appeared across Ontario before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice conducting jury and non-jury trials in both French and English.

He has also represented clients before Coroners Inquests, the Discipline Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada, l'Ordre des enseignants et enseignantes francophones de l'Ontario, the License Appeal Tribunal, and for prosecutions under the Police Services Act.

An active contributor to the legal community, Jean has served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Ottawa-Carleton Defence Lawyers Association. He has lectured at the Law Society of Upper Canada Bar Admission Course, University of Ottawa and at local high schools. He also sits as a member of the County of Carleton Law Association, the Ontario Criminal Lawyers Association and the Ontario Justice Education Network (OJEN).

Jean has volunteered his time as a member of the Ontario Legal Aid Plan Area Committee and has sat on the executive of the Gloucester Hornets Soccer Association.
