Ines immigrated to London, Ontario in 1997 after her family fled the civil war in Bosnia in 1992 and found temporary refuge in Germany.

In 2005 she moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University, where she earned an Honours Bachelor of Journalism and Law degree (B.J.). Ines continued her studies at the University of Ottawa where she received her Juris Doctor in 2013.

Ines articled with Burke-Robertson LLP in 2013 and stayed with the firm after her Call to the Bar as an associate in the Civil Litigation department.
